THE SUNSET DRIVE

The Sunset affords you your first opportunity of seeing Africa’s animals. Our qualified guide will take you on our open 4 x 4 Landcruiser Game Drive. Stops will be made to photograph the stunning sunsets and to listen to the night sounds and admire the clear Southern hemisphere constellation. Spotlights are used to locate elusive nocturnal animals. The drive will take us to enjoy a Bush BBQ at our Lapa overlooking a floodlit waterhole. Armed rangers will patrol while you enjoy a BUSH BBQ in this remote piece of Africa.

SAFARIS IN THE KRUGER PARK

The Safaris in the Kruger Park are conducted in our Mini-bus vehicles. We Enter the Kruger National Park via the Orpen Gate and spend a full day driving and searching for Africa’s Famous Big 5 and other remarkable species. Our enthusiastic and qualified guides generally know where the animals move during the specific seasons and they will try their upmost best to find as many species as possible. The Mini-bus has an elevated vantage position so that game-viewing is enhanced.

TREMISANA GAME LODGE 4h SUNDOWNER DRIVE

Tremisana Game Lodge is Viva Safaris Signature Lodge in The Balule Game Reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park. For conservational purposes all fences between the Kruger and the Balule Reserves have been dropped, and Balule essentially forms part of the greater Kruger. This Game drive is open to the big 5 and all Kruger’s Animals. Here similarly to the Sunset drive, our qualified guides will take you on our open 4 x 4 Landcruiser. Stops will be made to photograph the stunning sunsets and to listen to the night sounds and admire the clear Southern hemisphere constellation. Spotlights are used to locate elusive nocturnal animals.

AFTERNOON SAFARI on Tshukudu Game Reserve

Tshukudu Game reserve is a Big 5 Privately owned enclosed Game Reserve. Our qualified guides will take you on our open 4 x 4 Landcruiser for an Afternoon Safari. Here we attempt to view more of Africa’s Wildlife and Beautiful terrain. The game drives on Tshukudu are excellent and the rangers are in constant radio contact with one another. Unlike Kruger Park, off-road driving is permitted to get a better photo of the Big Five.

BUSH WALK WITH ARMED RANGERS

Our BUSH WALKS are exciting because we afforded our volunteers a brilliant opportunity to get up close and personal to Nature on foot. Volunteers may experience an acute adrenalin charge when in the presence of Big Five animals such as Buffalo, Rhino and Lion. Here the volunteers also get the opportunity to experience and witness the smaller biodiversity of Africa, such as specific vegetation, insects, and smaller mammals. We also get to track animals via spoor, dung, sound and smell. The Volunteers on our Bush Walks will always be accompanied by two armed rangers. It is of vital importance to strictly obey all instructions from our rangers on these walks.

MOHOLOHOLO REHABILTATION CENTRE

Situated in the shadow of the majestic Northern Drakensberg this unique Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a home to many of South Africa’s abandoned, injured and poisoned wildlife. Here you will learn about the sterling work being done in rehabilitating injured and orphaned animals. You will get up close and personal to some of the residents, including lions and leopards. And get the opportunity to see the infamous Honey Badger Stoffel. Moholoholo will greatly improve your understanding of Wildlife Conservation in Africa and the threats and problems our wildlife is facing today.
